The Scottish Gas Warm Home Discount Scotland 2025/2026 is now CLOSED.

The Warm Home Discount Scheme aims to help those at risk from fuel poverty living in Scotland. If you are eligible, you'll receive a credit of £150 (including VAT) on your electricity account. This will be paid by 31 March 2027.

I understand Scottish Gas might need to check that I am eligible for the Scheme by asking the Department for Work and Pensions to confirm whether I am in receipt of a qualifying benefit. If the Department for Work and Pensions cannot confirm my circumstances, then I may need to supply copies of my documents.

I understand that Scottish Gas use a third party, called Charis, to support them in carrying out these eligibility checks.

My personal data will be processed in accordance with Charis's Privacy Policy which can be found here. In addition to the provisions of that notice, Charis will process my personal data in order to confirm whether or not I qualify for any payment under the Warm Home Discount Scheme ("Scheme"). We will only share your personal data with the Department for Work and Pensions and those third party suppliers who support us with the delivery of our obligations under the Scheme. We will need to retain your personal data for a period of 6 months after the end of the Scheme Year for any audit purposes whereupon it will be deleted except for any personal data we need to retain for any legal, statutory or regulatory reasons.
